The activity we do usually on weekly bases is doing a volunteering work at the nearby
"효도마을"
The specific details into our volunteer work there is that we take care of the elders who
are suffering from dementia by doing hand-acupuncture and talking to them. Simple as it
might seem these simple measures have great positive affect to the elders.
Here are some picture of us doing the volunteering work.
Our volunteer work is held every weekend Saturday and Sunday from 1:25 PM to around
4:00 PM. Tiring and demanding the work is, the after feeling of gain and pride is
overwhelming. Through such activities as this we believe that we have the general idea
and thought about what dementia is, and it's impact to the one who are suffering from
such symptoms.
"Pain past is pleasure" and such as these pleasures are the stimuli that push us
forward.
